Afton Johnson (Ifadoja Bamigbala-Aresa), a New Orleans native, is a passionate fitness professional and self-defense instructor. Her journey began in 2015 after escaping an abusive marriage. As a survivor of domestic violence, Afton is deeply committed to empowering individuals, particularly those from vulnerable communities. Her clients range from law enforcement officials to survivors of abuse to those simply seeking to feel safer.

Afton’s dedication to self-defense led her to become the only certified African American female Krav Maga instructor in New Orleans, LA. She’s also a certified personal fitness trainer and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

As the owner of Incendiary Training Services, Afton empowers individuals through personalized training programs and certified Krav Maga instruction. Her experience encompasses a diverse range of clients, having led self-defense classes and workshops locally, nationally, and internationally, specifically Nigeria. Afton’s personal story is a testament to the transformative power of self-defense. Her mission is to share her knowledge and expertise to help others build confidence, strength, and resilience.
