Our Mission
Our mission is to deliver certified defensive tactics training and non-lethal weapons defense training for law enforcement professionals and security personnel, while offering the highest level of personal self-defense training to the public. We provide practical, accessible, and evidence-based instruction that enhances operational performance and resilience. We equip our clients with the skills necessary to respond to threats, reduce risk, and maintain peak readiness.
Meet Afton Johnson
Afton Johnson, a New Orleans native, is a certified defensive tactics and self-defense instructor whose personal journey drives her professional mission. Her path to instruction began in 2015, emerging from an experience of domestic violence. As a survivor, she is deeply committed to empowering individuals, particularly those from vulnerable communities.
Afton made history as the first certified African American female Krav Maga instructor under Israeli Krav International in the state of Louisiana. Her client base spans law enforcement agencies, private security firms, corporate teams, and civilians seeking to build confidence and personal safety skills. She has led training programs locally, nationally, and internationally, including work in Nigeria.
As the owner of Incendiary Training Services, she holds certifications across multiple defensive tactics disciplines and brings over a decade of instruction experience to every engagement.

We serve Greater New Orleans and surrounding parishes including Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, and Tangipahoa. All training is mobile. We bring equipment directly to your facility or location.
